Apple -- wireless carrier?...No more

Following news that Apple was testing its own MVNO (mobile virtual network operator), to become, in essence, a mobile carrier, the Company issued a statement:

"We have not discussed nor do we have any plans to launch an MVNO"

The statement leaves little room for interpretation.

So I guess we can congratulate AT&Ts, Veriozons, and T-Mobiles of this world that they won't have to compete with Apple (and its weapons of mass marketing) for wireless customers.
